At Independente Comporta, each room is a refuge inspired by the traditional Alentejo houses, carefully designed to reflect the region’s authenticity. The interiors integrate unique pieces crafted by local artisans and small-scale producers, ensuring every detail tells a story of heritage and craftsmanship. Among the selected elements are handmade rope lamps by @lummi.handmade, artisan cushions from @o_bau_carvalhal, and Arraiolos rugs by @defio.rugs. The decoration also features ceramic works by local artists — @neliapatalin, @olariadamina, and @ceramicasdomoinho — complemented by reclaimed wood pieces from @hannunbcn. In the outdoor spaces, guests will find the traditional Alentejo beds, while the bed linen is entirely produced in Portugal, using high-quality cotton for maximum comfort. Even in the bathrooms, we highlight artisanal detail, with ceramic supports and pieces developed by @daniel_alonsoblacklabelpottery. This curated selection represents our commitment to the local economy and the preservation of cultural heritage, offering guests an experience deeply rooted in the identity of the Alentejo.

Set within the surrounding natural landscape, our Double Rooms are a true Ode to Alentejo. Located in a traditional regional building, they accommodate 2 adults and 1 baby in an atmosphere of light colours, natural light and serenity.
With approximately 30 m², they feature a king-size bed built in traditional masonry and a private patio. The décor celebrates local craftsmanship and sustainable production in Portugal: Arraiolos rugs as bed headboards, regional pottery, and floor rugs made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Every detail invites an authentic, conscious and deeply Alentejo experience.

With the same comfort and identity as our Double Rooms, this category stands out for its privileged location facing the hotel pool, offering greater proximity and convenience to both the pool area and the restaurant.
With approximately 30 m², these rooms accommodate up to 2 adults and 1 baby, feature a king-size bed in traditional masonry and a private outdoor area with pool view. A true Ode to Alentejo, where every detail reflects local craftsmanship and sustainable production in Portugal: Arraiolos rugs as bed headboards, regional pottery, and floor rugs made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Alentejo Family Room | Patio

Our Family Rooms are the result of combining two connecting Double Rooms, offering the ideal balance between comfort, privacy and togetherness — perfect for families.
Maintaining the same identity and size as the Double Rooms, each room features a king-size bed in traditional masonry, a private patio with an Alentejo-style daybed, and garden views. One room includes a walk-in shower, while the other has a bathtub, providing added convenience for everyone.
A true Ode to Alentejo, where local craftsmanship and sustainability are present in every detail: Arraiolos rugs as headboards, regional pottery, and floor rugs made from 100% recycled PET bottles. There is also a convertible pouf that can be used as an extra bed, ideal for a child.
